Ok, so it’s actually a really early “first look” considering they have not begun installing the restaurant at all, but it’s still pretty cool to see. The above photo was taken on Monday by Philly Skyline. They were at the Comcast Center's official topping off ceremony, after which there was a reception inside the still unfinished Comcast Center in the space set to become Table 31.
Table 31 is the name of the massive new anchor restaurant of the Comcast Center. The restaurant is another joint effort by Chris Scarduzio and Georges Perrier, who are also partners in Brasserie Perrier, Brasserie Perrier at Boyds and Mia at Caesars Atlantic City. Table 31 will span the first three floors of the building and occupy more than 15,000 square feet. It’s going to be big and it’s slated to open in a little less than a year.
Big ups to Philly Skyline for another great slideshow… in addition to their continued unmatched coverage of all things Comcast Center.
Anecdotally, here’s hoping this whole thing also took care of the Curse of Billy Penn by returning him, via a mini-statue, back to the top of the city. Phils — 07 is looking more like your year by the day. Do it.
